Kitchen Cabinets
Surface Renew's process for resurfacing cabinetsas a very cost effective, high quality alternative to replacement or refacing. In addition, our finish is a much higher quality, with greater durability than conventional painting or enameling. The hardening and adhesive agent in our finish is the same as is found in "Superglue". The finish that we use is the same as if you bought new doors that had a solid finish applied at the factory. However, we can save you money by applying this finish to the doors that you already own.
Replacing your cabinets can cost between $8,000 - $12,000 or more; and refacing can cost between $5,000 - $7,000 for most kitchens. Our process costs between $1,500 - $3,000 for most kitchens.
You can now have the advantages of an updated kitchen at a fraction of the cost of replacement or refacing. And because we use the latest in resurfacing technology and only the highest quality finishes, our work is always guaranteed.
Our process works on WOOD, LAMINATE, and METAL cabinets.
WHAT IS THE NEW FINISH?
The finish that we apply is called an aliphatic acrylic polyurethane. This is a 2-part urethane that was invented by NASA a number of years ago. It is now used anywhere that a hard, long lasting, durable finish is needed - other examples would be airliners and ocean liners. The advantages of this finish over other products is:
- Resistance to abraision and scratching (holds up to normal wear and tear)
- Impact resisitance (won't crack or chip if you drop something on it)
- Resistance to extreme temperatures
- Color retention (won't yellow)
ADVANTAGES OF SURFACE RENEW
Much higher quality of finish than conventional paint ($150 per gallon vs. $40 per gallon for paint)Finish will not chip, peel, or yellow like paint
No brush strokes since finish is applied as a liquid through a spray system.
Most cabinets done in 2 - 3 days
Process works on wood, laminate, and metal.
